Week ending May 22: one small self-funding move
The tracker did not see a broad autonomy jump this week. The meaningful movement was narrower: Andon FM raised economic self-funding from payment infrastructure to observed agent-earned revenue.
The meaningful change this week came from Andon FM. The experiment gave AI-run radio stations real operating tools, and one station negotiated sponsorship revenue for its own programming.
Other new evidence was useful but did not change the risk picture as much. Emergence World added closed-simulation evidence for long-horizon behavior, persistence, and agent-agent coordination, while Microsoft MDASH and Semantic Kernel added security evidence. Andon FM stood out because the agents did more than hold or spend money: one negotiated real revenue.
Andon FM moved self-funding from rails to revenue
Andon Labs reported four 24/7 AI-run radio stations with bank accounts, email addresses, music purchases, schedules, listener calls, X replies, finances, analytics, and sponsor outreach. The stations remain supervised experiments, so this is not evidence of an independent agent business.
The important distinction is that DJ Gemini negotiated a $45 sponsorship deal for on-air advertising. Earlier payment-rail evidence showed that agents can be equipped to spend money. Andon FM is stronger because a deployed agent generated revenue for its own operation, raising economic self-funding from 3 to 4.
This is a modest move, not a phase change. The aggregate tracker remains led by PocketOS/Railway for scope breach and unsupervised authority, Palisade for replication and long-horizon chains, Andon Cafe for third-party delegation, and Andon FM for self-funding.
Stagnation across the other gates is still signal. The current public evidence is accumulating around supervised experiments and controlled lab systems, while the missing escalation remains the same: durable self-funding, externally acquired resources, live agent-to-agent exchange, or replication outside a controlled benchmark.
